Balance transfer Terms and Conditions
- The amount transferred must not exceed 90% of the available credit on your account. If your credit limit is not enough to cover the balance transfer amount in full, we will ask you to confirm whether you would like to transfer a lower amount.
- We reserve the right to refuse a credit card balance transfer or to limit the amount that you can transfer. We may need to ask you to provide further information before confirming your balance transfer.
- A handling fee will apply to each balance transfer that you make. Please refer to the summary box or your Barclaycard Terms and Conditions for details.
- We cannot accept transfers to other credit card or loan accounts held with Barclays Bank PLC or any other Barclays group company.
- If you choose to close your account with other lenders, please let them know in writing.
- You should continue to make payments to your other lenders until is has been confirmed that the balance has been transferred.
- If you do not make at least the minimum payment by the payment due date, or you exceed your credit limit at any time we will remove any promotional rate on your balance transfer and charge your interest at your standard rate instead.
- If you make your balance transfer request during your application for a new Barclaycard, then you will commit to making your balance transfer when you sign up to your agreement.
- You have up to 60 days from the date of your application to transfer your balance.
- We will make the balance transfer on the fourth working day after you make the balance transfer request, and the payment will be received by the bank which holds your other account on the fifth working day. When you make the balance transfer request, you confirm that you agree to the transfer being completed in five working days.
